How Can severe Itchy Hives Be Treated?

Last night I got hives on my arms for no apparent reason, and today they re developing little pimples. They itch like crazy. I take Pramipexole for Parkinson s, and experienced hives when I changes my dosage last spring. Also, I m under a lot of stress at work.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The change in dose of the medication may have provoked the allergic symptoms since you first noticed the problem when this was adjusted.

Stress can worsen your symptoms or perception of symptoms, so this can definitely play a role.

Anti histamines, as you would likely know, would help reduce the allergic reaction.
If it recurs, then you may want to consider allergy testing.

Allergy testing can be in the form of blood tests or skin prick testing and may include drug allergy testing.

I hope this helps
